Kelly® Engineering has an outstanding contract to hire opportunity for a Procurement Associate with a growing company in Pittsburgh, PA. This position offers a competitive compensation package along with growth potential within a supportive and dynamic team environment.
Procurement Associate Responsibilities:
- Provide purchasing support to all internal departments through the acquisition of approved materials, equipment or services from approved vendors
- Develop key supplier relationships and partnerships, continually improving supplier service levels and reducing supply chain risk
- Obtain vendor quotes, proposals, or statements of work as needed for various types of purchases.
- Prepare purchase orders and work with corporate accounts receivable and accounts payable to execute the orders
- Follow up with suppliers on overdue purchase orders to minimize delays and risk of supply disruption
- Identify opportunities for purchasing process improvements
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain Planner to monitor, track, and provide feedback on purchases, open orders, and order confirmations.
- Establish and/or maintain data in the ERP system such as material master data, purchasing parameters, and vendor information.
- Initiate vendor complaints when required using the vendor complaint process.
Procurement Associate Requirements:
- Previous procurement experience preferably in a regulated environment
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Strong critical thinking abilities and proven problem-solving skills
