Calibration and Preventive Maintenance Technician
Kelly Services is currently seeking a Calibration and Preventive Maintenance Technician for one of our top clients in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Calibration and Preventive Maintenance Technician:
- The Calibration and Preventive Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of equipment and components essential for the manufacturing and measurement of medical devices.
- This role involves performing calibration and technical preventive maintenance tasks, as well as providing support to manufacturing and packaging operations.
SECTION 2: DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES
- Executes equipment-related work orders, including internal calibrations and preventive/corrective maintenance, following assigned job plans and procedures.
- Calibrates and maintains mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical measurement instruments in accordance with current procedures.
- Verifies the completion and accuracy of calibration and preventive maintenance records.
- Oversees external calibration and maintenance work orders performed on-site.
- Evaluates and assesses calibration reports from service providers.
- Ensures timely execution of non-conformance reports during out of tolerance conditions.]
- Completes all required trainings on time.
- Ensures that calibration and preventive maintenance labels on equipment are current and consistent with relevant documents and the tool management system.
- Recommends and implements improvements to existing standard operating procedures for calibration and preventive maintenance processes.
- Ensures calibration activities are conducted professionally and efficiently to minimize equipment and production downtime.
- Interprets, evaluates, and documents results from calibration and preventive maintenance tests.
- Investigates, diagnoses, and resolves measurement system issues.
- Maintains records and calibration standards in compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
- Provides support and maintains relationships with internal customers.
- Communicates business-related issues or opportunities to management.
- Adheres to all company guidelines regarding health, safety, and environmental practices as applicable.
- Ensures personal and organizational compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or associate s degree in engineering/manufacturing is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within medical device or related industry preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS

- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Hands-on experience with asset/tool management and associated software for tracking tools.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration and engagement across teams.
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Knowledge of medical device manufacturing processes, quality control, and regulatory requirements.
