Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Specialist

Salary: $18.00 per hour
Job Summary:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Shipping/Receiving Specialist to manage the efficient and accurate flow of goods in and out of our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in shipping and receiving procedures, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety. Forklift certification is required.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing lists and purchase orders, and document any discrepancies.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to customer specifications and shipping regulations.
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to load and unload trucks, move materials within the warehouse, and organize inventory.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
- Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping and receiving environment.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Proven ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of shipping and receiving procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
