Job details
e are seeking a dedicated Production Technician I to join our team, responsible for maintaining the smooth operation and cleanliness of our plant. The ideal candidate will efficiently lubricate and fuel equipment, handle general clean-up tasks, manage waste disposal, and assist with material handling. This role ensures the factory and surrounding grounds are consistently maintained and supports various operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lubricate and fuel all plant equipment, including tow motors, ensuring they are greased and oiled properly.
- Check and maintain the oil levels in air compressors, and manage oil changes as needed.
- Handle general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, washing windows, and cleaning restrooms.
- Move pans of work through different departments and perform clean-up tasks across the plant.
- Bleed water from air lines and clean oil separators.
- Oversee the disposal of trash, scrap paper, and other rubbish, ensuring cleanliness in the dock area and surrounding grounds.
- Maintain adequate supplies for restrooms and cleaning materials.
- Operate power sweepers and lift trucks for performing responsibilities.
- Assist Maintenance mechanics and drive trucks as per maintenance needs.
- Make wooden crates for shipment and change bulbs and clean light fixtures.
- Occasionally perform groundskeeper duties as required.
- Ensure passageways are clear and eliminate fire hazards.
- Operate the stud washer efficiently.
- Maintain a high level of quality in shipping and production tasks.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment or similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Basic mechanical skills and ability to assist with maintenance tasks.
- Experience operating power sweepers and lift trucks.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and handle material.
- Excellent organization skills.
