Associate Environmental Tech:
Engineering & Maintenance – Administrative Support
– Support team in research and implementation of management system work processes, standards, and procedures
– Provide daily assistance to EH&S Technicians
– Responsible for reviewing pre-manifest and creating manifests for all waste leaving the TXINN campus.
– Coordinate with Environmental Operations personnel to schedule waste pick-ups.
– Trouble shoot manifest/transport issues.
– Work with researchers to create new Waste Profiles and renew existing profiles.
– Complete weekly and semi-annual waste inspections.
– Manage Electronic recycling.
– Serve as R&D IH Technician by conducting risk assessments, creating and coordinating monitoring plans, managing IH equipment, setting up monitoring equipment & media as well as writing final area noise reports
– Focal point for R&D IH Earfit Testing
– Manage Radiation (100+ sealed sources, x-rays, and lasers) and Ventilation Inventory (2500+ fume hoods and local exhaust)
– Conduct weekly New Employee Orientation and help with employee onboarding
– Special Project may include (examples):
– Ensure training and documentation compliance
– Responsible for projects including Flammable Inventory, Limitation Agreements for Hood Diversity and NON-GHS compliant SDS management
– Participate in buildings safety programs, safety meetings, In-field safety audits, and MOC walkthroughs
