Experienced Plastic Injection Molder Needed-1st shift!
Location: East Syracuse
Shift Hours: 1st Shift | 6 AM-4:30 PM M-Thur
Pay: $17-21.00/hr. DOE
Summary/Objective:
The Mold Operator is responsible for producing reaction injection molded and standard molded parts that meet customer specifications. This role ensures quality and safety standards are maintained, keeps accurate records, supports equipment upkeep, and assists with or performs mold changeovers as required.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Operate hoists, hand tools, Canon and Hytech machines, and R.I.M. presses to mold parts per customer requirements.
- Utilize scales, vacuum chambers, and autoclaves to ensure quality standards are met.
- Trim flash and gates using hand and power tools; perform machine changeovers as necessary.
- Assist with or conduct mold changes, including clamping and setup procedures.
- Coordinate with quality inspectors for first-piece approval; perform regular visual checks and adjust equipment as needed.
- Complete production and operational records accurately and timely.
- Meet or exceed established quality and production output targets.
- Support ISO quality management system and utilize the Syteline MIS system effectively.
- Take initiative in accomplishing company goals and continuously seek ways to add value.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Maintain punctual and reliable attendance and comply with all company policies and behavioral standards.
- Perform additional tasks as needed, including deburring and assisting in secondary operations during production cycles.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 6 months of experience operating plastic injection molding machines required
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to read and understand job travelers, blueprints, diagrams, and basic measurement tools.
- Strong attention to detail with good judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in verbal communication and process improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to follow directions, work independently or in a team, and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
