At Kelly®, we’re passionate about helping you find a job that works for you. How about this one? We’re seeking Sensory Panelist’s to work at our client in Modesto, CA. With us, it’s all about finding the job that’s just right.

Schedule: Part time, Tuesday-Friday, 9AM-1PM (The total number of hours worked per week may vary depending on project load, but typically range from between 12 to 15 hours per week.)
Pay rate: $20.00/hr. while in training, $21.00/hr. once training is complete. 

Position Summary & Key Responsibilities:
This position involves the evaluation of aroma, flavor, texture and appearance of alcoholic beverages using the five senses of touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing.

In order to be qualified for the position, candidates are screened for and must possess high sensory acuity for a variety of aroma, flavors, and basic tastes. Candidates are also screened for their clear verbal communication skills, both individually and as part of a group. Once hired, panelists complete approximately 100 hours of training. Excellent written and verbal communication is required as well as familiarity with computers since all panelists enter data into computers.

Standard Job Requirements:

  • Must be 21+

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:

  • Must exhibit positive, approachable, outgoing personality, with ability to present themselves professionally.

  • Willingness to participate in three phase interview/screening process

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfort/familiarity with the computer and tablet

  • Comfortable working in a group and contributing to that group

  • Ability to describe differences between alcoholic products

  • Ability to sit for up to 4 hours in a classroom setting

Job Demands:

  • No food allergies or aversions

  • No impairment affecting the senses or ability to taste certain foods

  • Scent free environment – no perfume/cologne/scented lotions or other scented items
