Job Title: Accounting Assistant
Location: Paris, KY
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire | Onsite (1 Remote Day/Week Available)
Pay Range: $20–$23 per hour


Job Description:
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant for a full-time, direct hire position in Paris, KY. This entry-level role provides key support to the accounting team with a focus on cost tracking, data entry, and general accounting functions. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate cost records for products and services


  • Assist with job cost estimates by collecting and entering data for estimators and engineers


  • Record production costs including materials, labor, and overhead


  • Update part numbers and bills of materials in the accounting system


  • Generate standard cost and financial reports


  • Assist with reconciliation and documentation during physical inventory counts


  • Support the month-end close process through data collection and basic reconciliations


  • Compile budget information and organize supporting documentation


  • File and manage accounting records and related data


  • Perform general administrative and accounting support tasks as needed


Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)


  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting


  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting, filtering)


  • Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems is a plus


  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry


  • Good organizational and time management skills


  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion


  • Effective written and verbal communication skills


  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively


  • Eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities


Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, full-time business hours


  • Onsite in Paris, KY with the option to work remotely 1 day per week after training
