Kelly Engineering is seeking a talented Vision Lead Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team and drive the success of diverse automation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the vision for custom automation projects, ensuring robust solutions for complex quality assurance and robotic functionality.
- Design, program, set up, debug, and document vision systems to deliver functional, robust, and cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct optical performance testing while specifying parts, field conditions, and communication methods for mechanical, electrical, and control engineering design.
- Provide technical support both remotely and in-person to engineers, electricians, and builders, ensuring system functionality and validation.
- Develop standard vision documentation for machinery manuals and performance improvement protocols, aimed at enhancing communication, accuracy, and reliability while reducing development costs.
- Implement technologies and platforms such as Cognex and Keyence, and ATS Cortex vision systems. Secondary skills in Allen Bradley PLC, HMI, and servo control are required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in vision system design and implementation in an automation setting.
- Strong proficiency with Cognex, Keyence, and ATS Cortex vision systems.
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and servo control systems.
- Excellent communication and technical support skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
