Location: South Windsor, CT (Remote Schedule Available)
Full-Time | Base Salary: $80,000/year + Commission

A leading manufacturer and designer of greenhouse and hydroponic systems is seeking a skilled and driven Senior Commercial Greenhouse Sales Specialist. Since 1979, this company has evolved into an industry leader with over 30,000 products serving commercial growers, universities, schools, and hobbyists. With the rapid growth in local food production, cannabis cultivation, and hydroponic technology, this is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding sales team.

Position Summary
This role is responsible for increasing sales of engineered greenhouse systems, grow technologies, and environmental controls—primarily to large-scale hydroponic, floriculture, and cannabis cultivation operations. A key focus will be on Venlo-style structures and full-system solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design greenhouse systems optimized for environmental and vertical performance


  • Collaborate with R&D to improve products and develop new solutions


  • Coordinate with estimating, design, and installation teams to ensure project accuracy


  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across the commercial cultivation space


  • Respond to inquiries and leads from commercial customers


  • Deliver tailored, effective sales presentations virtually and in person


  • Lead sales efforts for large engineered greenhouse projects


  • Prepare complete orders including all components and accessories


  • Specialize in Venlo-style greenhouse design and implementation


  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the greenhouse, horticulture, or related industries


  • Proven B2B sales success, preferably in agriculture, cultivation, or grow systems


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience


  • In-depth knowledge of commercial greenhouse structures and operations


  • Familiarity with interpreting technical documents, plans, and diagrams


  • Proficiency with order management and productivity software (EPICOR a plus)


  • Comfortable with mathematical applications including geometry, trigonometry, and statistics


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Work Environment

  • Primarily a sedentary role with some walking and standing


  • Moderate noise environment typical of office or showroom settings


  • Remote or hybrid work schedule available
