Laboratory Technician-Alvin, TX
Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking multiple Laboratory Technicians for one of our clients, an agricultural focused company, located in Alvin, TX.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform milling, grinding, weighing, and preparation of samples for further grain quality tests.
- Prepare chemical buffers and aliquots according to GMP guidelines
- Monitor quality assurance parameters and take corrective action when required
- Maintain and operate liquid handlers and automated lab equipment.
- Laboratory processes and instrumentation with the ability to troubleshoot technical problems
- Document sample flow. Troubleshoot processes where necessary
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Life Sciences background (Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required)
- Work experience in positions requiring repetitive tasks
- Strong attention to detail is required
- Ability to recognize problems through observations, documentation, etc.
- Computer proficient, especially with Microsoft Office products
Job Details
- Contract with the possibility to become permanent
- Pay Rate: dependent upon level of education and experience
- Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with occasional overtime and work on Saturdays as needed
