Overview

This client is an industry-leading company that’s leading the way in custom research studies for biotech and major diagnostics manufacturers. They specialize in executing complex, non-standard studies that require a highly adaptable and rigorous lab environment. In this role, you will be a key operator in scaling lab operations to meet growing client demand, working directly with executive leadership and project managers.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Own day-to-day lab execution across all active studies — including scheduling, sample processing, troubleshooting, and documentation

  • Build and implement systems for inventory, sample chain-of-custody, SOP tracking, and throughput monitoring

  • Partner with PMs to align study timelines with lab capacity and provide real-time operational forecasts

  • Coordinate vendors for supplies, kit assembly, consumables, and logistics to ensure uninterrupted workflows

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation in compliance with CLIA, CAP, and GCP standards

  • Continuously improve SOPs, validation records, and internal processes to support lab scalability and compliance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant life science discipline required.

  • 5-10 years of experience in lab operations within clinical research, CRO, diagnostics, or other regulated environments

  • Proven experience managing lab execution, including scheduling, inventory, sample tracking, and documentation

  • CLS generalist license (or equivalent) to support regulatory sign-off preferred

  • Strong familiarity with regulated lab environments (CLIA, CAP, ISO, GCP) and audit preparation

  • Systems-thinker with a proactive approach to building scalable, repeatable workflows

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across lab, PMs, clients, and executive teams
