We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk I to join our team in Houston, TX (77032). In this entry-level role, you will support daily accounting functions by performing data entry, invoice matching, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable processes.   • Employment Type: 1-month contract


  • Pay Rate: $20.00/hour


Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter statistical, financial, and numerical data into accounting systems


  • Match invoices to purchase orders and vouchers


  • Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable


  • Perform general clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, mailing, and document matching


  • Operate a 10-key calculator and standard office equipment


  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records


  • Support the accounting team with day-to-day administrative functions


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required


  • Entry-level experience in accounting or clerical support preferred


  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook


  • Ability to use 10-key data entry efficiently


  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


  • Good interpersonal and communication skills


  • Ability to follow directions and work both independently and with a team
