We are seeking a Packaging Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Mount Vernon, OH. In this role, you will be responsible for operating packaging machinery, supporting production workflows, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Pay Rate: $18.50/hr
Contract: 12-month contract (Contract-to-Hire)
Shift: 12-hour shift, 5:45 AM – 6:00 PM (2-2-3 schedule)

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate packaging machines and place bags on equipment snouts for proper sealing and fill

  
  

• Spot outbound trucks into loading docks and ensure dock-lock safety systems are engaged

  
  

• Reclaim off-quality Unbonded Loosefill and return it to the production process

  
  

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, blowing down lines, and cleaning break areas

  
  

• Support preventive maintenance procedures as directed

  
  

• Assist with special assignments as needed by plant leadership

  
  

• Participate in safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement programs

Preferred Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

  
  

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

  
  

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

  
  

• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

  
  

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

  
  

• Customer service mindset (internal and external)
