Kelly Services in partnership with Cummins has immediate openings for experienced Forklift/warehouse operators to join our team in Columbus, INCummins is a global premier Fortune 500 company that is among the largest in the world making diesel engines and components. Several Forklift/Warehouse Operator opportunities are available on C Shift (see hours and schedule below) working just 4 days a week!

Shifts and Pay Rates:

  • $19.00 per hour

  • Hours: C Shift: Monday and Tuesday 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
    & Friday and Saturday 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM

  • Will be required to work some overtime as needed

  • May possibly be asked to train on day shift

What’s a typical day as a Warehouse Operator? You’ll be:

  • Driving forklift and operating other warehouse powered industrial vehicles (order picker/cherry picker, reach truck forklift, tugger) - due to the nature of the job, Forklift and preferably also Reach-Truck operating experience is required to be placed

  • Receiving, stocking, storing, handling and labeling goods and materials in the shipping/receiving area and warehouse

  • Perform cycle counts to ensure the site maintains location/piece/financial accuracy as required by Cummins corporate standards

  • Material handling duties, or restocking the assembly/production area with material – may also be required to drive a tugger to restock production lines 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires Forklift and preferably also Tugger operating experience

  • Are at least 18 years of age

  • Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs; bending, squatting, kneeling, walking and standing in a warehouse environment 

  • Flexibility: Able to remain open minded and change focus quickly as demand changes, manage transitions effectively from task to task, and adapt to varying customer needs

  • Decision Making & Problem Solving: Able to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; able to reason, even when dealing with emotional topics

  • Initiative: Ability to work with little supervision and motivated to follow through to conclusion
