Title: CMM Technician
Location: Warrensville Hts., OH
Duration: 12 months +        
Type: W2 contract (NO C2C OR THIRD PARTY)
Pay: $21.00 – $24.81/hour

Overview

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CMM Technician to work with manufacturing engineering to support production inspection.

  • Will be responsible for programming and troubleshooting Zeiss Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to inspect manufacturing product and ensure the accuracy, precision, and reliability of the CMM results.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and program Zeiss CMMs (Calypso).

  • Perform repeatability and reproducibility studies on new or modified programs.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.

  • Perform (FAI) first article programs as per customer or internal requirements.

  • Adhere to GEHC site quality management processes and protocols to ensure proper control and verification of CMM programs/Fixtures.

  • Troubleshoot CMM errors/issues within the guidelines of quality management systems.

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to prioritize and execute needed activities.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in quality processes.

  • Create/Update CMM work instructions, as necessary.

  • Communicate/Train operators on changes as applicable.

  • Maintain CMM machines to include probe qualification and regular cleaning.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience operating and programming Zeiss CMMs in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency with Calypso CMM software.

  • Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Hexagon CMM’s and PC-DMIS software

  • Experience with other inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges).

  • Familiarity with ISO13485 (preferred) or ISO 9001 quality systems.

  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis.

Additional Information

  • Onsite / Monday – Friday / Can accommodate a start time of 6am-8am

  • Interview process: Phone screen and then onsite
