Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Labor/Guillotine Cutter Operator! In this role, you will be instrumental in preparing books for scanning by expertly operating our hydraulic guillotine cutter. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy hands-on work, this position is perfect for you. You’ll be standing at the cutter, programming it to the correct depth, and cutting the spines off stacks of books. Additionally, you will assist in sorting and organizing books, ensuring everything is in order for our scanning process.
Job Specifications:
– Job Type: Full-Time
– Location: Bellevue, WA
– Pay Rate: $20-$24/hr DOE
– Shift: 7:00 am-3:00 pm or 3:00 pm-11:00 pm
Roles and Responsibilities:
– Operate the hydraulic guillotine cutter to precise specifications.
– Program the cutter for the correct depth to ensure clean cuts.
– Cut the spines off stacks of books efficiently and safely.
– Assist in sorting books by size and organizing them for scanning.
– Unpack and stack books as necessary to maintain workflow.
– Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
– Previous experience operating heavy machinery or similar equipment is a plus.
– Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
– Good organizational skills and ability to work in a team.
– Basic mechanical aptitude is beneficial.
