The Production Operator will be responsible for executing processes related to the surface treatment of metal parts, including preparation, dip tank operation, passivation, and/or galvanizing. The ideal candidate has prior experience in a metal finishing or coating environment and is comfortable working with chemicals and industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor dip tanks used in metal passivation or galvanizing processes.

  
  

• Load and unload metal components to and from treatment equipment following proper handling procedures.

  
  

• Prepare parts for treatment by cleaning, masking, or assembling as needed.

  
  

• Perform visual inspections and quality checks to ensure coating integrity and adherence to specifications.

  
  

• Maintain proper chemical levels and concentrations in tanks; assist with solution preparation and replenishment.

  
  

• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols regarding chemical handling and personal protective equipment (PPE).

  
  

• Complete production logs, batch records, and maintenance reports accurately.

  
  

• Assist with routine cleaning, calibration, and preventive maintenance of tanks and related equipment.

  
  

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding issues or improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

  
  

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in metal finishing, with specific experience in passivation, galvanizing, or dip tank operations.

  
  

• Basic understanding of chemical processes and safety practices in an industrial setting.

  
  

• Ability to read and follow written instructions, safety data sheets (SDS), and work orders.

  
  

• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a production environment with exposure to heat, fumes, and chemicals.

  
  

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with automated tank lines or programmable logic controls (PLC).

  
  

• Forklift operation or overhead crane experience a plus.

  
  

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
