General Laborer – Metal Processing (Direct Hire)
Location: Scottsville, NY
Shifts: 1st and 2nd Shift Available

Are you a hardworking and reliable individual looking for a stable career in a manufacturing environment? Are you seeking a change of pace from construction or farming? We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer to join our team at a leading secondary metal processing facility in Scottsville, NY. This is a direct-hire position with excellent benefits and opportunities for growth.
Essential Duties:
- Load materials into kettles to dissolve metals in acid or through the furnace process
- Label materials accurately.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
- Ensure proper safety practices and follow all safety rules.
- Read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS).
Competencies/Skills Required:
- Teamwork Orientation: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical Strength: Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Reliability: Punctual and reliable with good attendance.
- Basic Math Skills: Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations.
- Basic Literacy: Basic reading and writing skills.
- Possible Chemical Handling: Comfortable working with acids such as Hydrochloric Acid, Nitric Acid, and Aqua Ammonia.or working in furnace area.
