Kelly is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector for an Electronics Manufacturer located in Melbourne! (please read required qualifications to ensure you are a good fit before applying)
Shift & Pay rates:
1st Shift: Mon-Fri (1 Sat. a month)/7:00am-3:30pm/$20.00 hour (negotiable DOE)
2nd Shift: Mon-Fri (1 Sat. a month)/3:30pm-11:30pm/$22.00 hour (negotiable DOE)
(Possible Overtime available)

What’s a typical day as a Quality Inspector? You’ll be:
- Prioritize and balance workload for the inspection team (in-process, final, and customer quality assurance inspections) to meet daily goals.
- Act as a role model for consistent, efficient work and facilitate daily team communication.
- Engage with the team about performance; provide feedback for supervisor-led development.
- Manage conflicts within the department and with production.
- Train new inspectors and assign work as needed.
- Perform inspections and real-time data entry for compliance with customer dimensional and cosmetic standards.
- Interface with engineers, source inspectors, and ensure proper documentation for first articles per customer expectations.
- Lead visual aid inspection using IPC-A-610 standards, BOMs, written procedures, and verbal instructions.
- Direct rework products and confirm completion.
- Perform process audits per AMS, MOI, and VIP requirements.
- Conduct CQA, in-process, final, and incoming inspections.
- Use IQS software for proper router tracking.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and accurate work-in-process documentation.
- Ensure ESD integrity and compliance with ISO and job-specific procedures.
- Participate in continuous job training and other responsibilities as assigned.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2+ years of Quality inspection experience in electronics manufacturing.
- IPC-A-610 Certification required.
- Experience reading blueprints and following written engineering instructions.
- Proficient with electro-mechanical tools (multi-meters, calipers, etc.) and basic hand tools.
- Ability to interpret detailed schematics and diagrams.
- Experience using ERP systems and strong basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational, reading comprehension, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and with high accuracy in high-volume environments.
- Leadership experience with proven team coordination skills.
- Previous ISO 9001 experience is a plus.
- Willing to work flexible hours as business needs require.
