Job Overview:
As a Medical Laboratory Scientist I, you’ll contribute to critical clinical testing in Clinical Toxicology and Special Chemistry using advanced instrumentation, including LC-MS. Your work will help deliver accurate and timely results that directly impact patient care. This is an ideal opportunity for those with strong technical skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and a commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and document clinical laboratory testing in accordance with SOPs and regulatory standards
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, especially LC-MS systems
- Conduct quality control procedures and resolve instrument or testing issues
- Collaborate with team members to support laboratory workflow
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation
- Participate in professional development and training initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field
- MLS, MT, or CLS certification preferred (e.g., ASCP)
- Experience in clinical laboratory or special chemistry testing is a plus
- Familiarity with LC-MS or similar technologies is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work assigned shifts, including evenings or weekends as needed
