Why you should apply to be a Buyer:  

Pay Rate: $30 per hour  

Location: Granville, NY 12832-1652 United States 

Schedule:  
• 1st Shift 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM  

• Monday to Friday  

Employment Type: Contract-Permanent (depending on performance) 

  

What’s a typical day as a Buyer? You will:  

  • Support transactional purchasing activities for raw materials, MRO, and non-inventory items 

  • Release and update purchase orders in alignment with production schedules (MPS changes) 

  • Monitor open purchase orders to ensure timely closure or updates 

  • Maintain supplier communication to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any disruptions 

  • Assist in supplier performance tracking and basic reporting 

 

  

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:  

Minimum: 

  • Option 1: 3+ years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain management 

  • Option 2: 1+ years of related experience with a relevant bachelor’s degree 

 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field with a specialization in Supply Chain Management 

  • Equivalent combination of training and work experience accepted in lieu of a degree 

 

Preferred Skills/Knowledge: 

  • Supplier negotiation and relationship management 

  • Procure-to-Payment (P2P) processes 

  • Inventory management and lead-time reduction strategies 

  • Cost savings and risk mitigation initiatives
