Direct Hire Quality Control Technician – 2nd shift 
Location:
 Youngstown, OH
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
Pay: $25–$30 per hour (based on experience)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Technician to join our team on 2nd shift. This role is critical to ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. If you have a strong background in inspection, documentation, and quality systems, we’d love to hear from you.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections and testing (First Articles, customer returns, incoming materials, supplier issues)

  • Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, protractors, etc.)

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings

  • Support document control and update quality documentation

  • Manage nonconforming product processes and maintain logs

  • Investigate and resolve quality issues and complaints

  • Train and support operators on quality procedures

  • Conduct product audits and outgoing dock audits

  • Perform incoming inspections for raw materials and outsourced products

  • Maintain records per Business Management System requirements

  • Assist in formal quality training for new operators

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum 5 years in quality assurance as a technician or inspector

  • Additional training or education in quality preferred

  • ASQ certification desirable

  • Non-destructive testing certification a plus

Skills Required:

  • Strong math and blueprint reading skills (including GD&T)

  • Proficient in using measuring and test equipment

  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)

  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular standing and sitting

  • Frequent use of hands for tools and equipment

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs

  • Visual acuity for close work, depth perception, and focus adjustment
