Kelly is now hiring a Furnace Team Lead at Kennametal in New Albany, Indiana
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the operation of multiple furnaces, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. – Pay Rate: $18-$23/hour
– Shift: 11pm-7:30am or 3pm-11:30pm
Roles and Responsibilities:
– Load, unload, and monitor multiple furnaces according to established procedures.
– Start, stop, and operate vacuum furnaces effectively.
– Remove braze/HT loads from furnaces, breakdown loads, and deliver products to designated departments.
– Maintain accurate heat run sheets and file reports appropriately.
– Utilize the MII platform to scan in correct information.
– Perform routine furnace maintenance following the TPM/PM checklist.
– Assist with braze/HT setup, grit blasting, breakdown, and related duties as needed.
– Ensure compliance with safety procedures and foster a safe working environment.
– Communicate safety, quality, and product issues with supervisors and team members.
– Handle deviations in routine according to operating procedures and work instructions.
– Solve unusual problems that may arise using established guidelines and seek supervisor assistance when needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
– Previous experience in a manufacturing or furnace operation environment is preferred.
– Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
– Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
– Excellent communication skills to relay information clearly.
– Problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.
– Physical ability to lift up to 33 pounds and stand for extended periods.
