Quality Assurance Associate – Direct Hire | Eau Claire, WI
Pay: $26/hour base (Target Salary: $54,080/year)
Schedule Options:
- AM Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:10 PM (2-2-3 schedule)
- PM Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:10 AM (2-2-3 schedule, +$2/hour differential)
- Training Schedule for Both Shifts: Monday–Friday on AM shift
What You’ll Do
- Conduct routine environmental microbiological swabbing throughout the facility to verify sanitation effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sample analysis and enter data into 3rd-party lab portals and internal software.
- Organize and ship samples to outside labs; track results and communicate findings.
- Verify compliance with the Master Sanitation Program.
- Log pest findings and communicate trends as part of the pest control program.
- Partner with Operations and Facilities teams to respond to environmental monitoring deviations.
- Perform limited sanitation activities within the QA lab.
- Maintain a clean, organized swabbing preparation area and restock supplies.
- Follow cGMPs, food safety standards, and company safety protocols at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science, or related field preferred (not required).
- In lieu of a BA/BS in a relevant field of study, applicants must have QA experience in an FDA regulated environment.
- Experience with QA for food grade products preferred.
- In lieu of a BA/BS in a relevant field of study, applicants must have QA experience in an FDA regulated environment.
- Experience:
- Knowledge or coursework in microbiology, pathogens, and aseptic sampling techniques.
- Quality Control or manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with cGMPs and food safety standards.
- Knowledge or coursework in microbiology, pathogens, and aseptic sampling techniques.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced production environment.
