What’s a typical day as a Security Officer? You will:
- Responds to and participates in various codes, drills, and emergency situations as needed.
- Conducts building/mall safety inspections and provides customer service based on situational demands.
- Rotated through various assigned posts or serves as a campus interior rover.
- Assists in patient interventions to support staff during critical situations.
- Helps resolve patient conflicts and applies appropriate problem-solving techniques.
- Promotes proper Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) methods to unit staff and communicates timely updates to the on-duty Hospital Security Supervisor and other relevant personnel.
- May assist with vehicle and radio maintenance, safety inspections, and related documentation.
