About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Controller (Project Control Specialist) to join our team supporting North American Grid Automation projects. This role is key in managing project financials and operational activities, advising Project Managers, and driving accurate reporting across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and maintain project financial data in ERP (orders, invoicing, budgets, etc.)
- Monitor and analyze project financials: budget creation, costs-to-date, cost-to-complete, and change control
- Review project progress, provide analysis/corrective actions, and resolve or escalate issues impacting financial performance
- Manage customer invoicing, track billing milestones, and oversee receivables collection
- Process and track all revenue recognition per relevant instructions
- Ensure timely creation and tracking of purchase orders (POs) and invoices
- Provide document control support for customer and supplier submittals
- Set up and maintain project administrative files and records
- Prepare and participate in project reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a project environment or financial administration
Desired Skills
- Understanding of project management or project financial analysis
- Familiarity with project purchasing systems (SAP or Oracle)
- Experience in finance within multi-functional project settings
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and virtual)
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities
- Experience working in a matrix environment
