Now Hiring: Shipper/Receiver
Location: Barkhamsted, CT
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipper/Receiver to manage all aspects of incoming and outgoing shipments. This full-time role involves preparing, packaging, and shipping products using UPS, FedEx, and other carriers, as well as receiving deliveries, maintaining inventory, and purchasing supplies for various departments.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Training will be provided for motivated candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process orders for shipment, including required documentation


  • Pick, pack, and ship products using UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers


  • Receive deliveries and distribute items to appropriate departments


  • Enter and maintain shipping information in carrier systems


  • Palletize and prepare large shipments for freight forwarding


  • Order and manage inventory of shipping supplies (boxes, labels, packing materials)


  • Coordinate with UPS, FedEx, freight companies, and delivery personnel


  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving inventory records


  • Keep the shipping/receiving area clean and organized


  • Work with production to prepare and test parts prior to shipment


  • Purchase materials and supplies to support all departments

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook


  • Strong organizational and communication skills


  • Ability to lift, move, and palletize shipments


  • Prior shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required


  • Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, or freight carrier systems is a plus
