Maintenance Engineering Technician (Night Shift)
Location: Lodi, CA
Duration: Contract (with potential extension)
Pay Rate: $34/hr + 11% night shift differential + weekly overtime
Position Overview
Kelly Engineering is seeking five (5) Maintenance Engineering Technicians to join our client, a global leader in diagnostics, at their Lodi, CA facility. These are night shift roles supporting high-volume, automated manufacturing operations. This is a great opportunity for mechanically minded technicians with automation experience who want stable work, guaranteed overtime, and competitive pay close to home in the Central Valley.
Shift & Schedule

Night Shift (D Shift): 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Schedule: Wednesday – Friday, alternating Saturdays
-
12-hour shifts = built-in weekly overtime at time and a half
Key Responsibilities
-
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot automated filling and packaging equipment.

Support TPM activities (CIL, centerlines, PMs, changeovers).

Partner with Engineers and Operators to reduce downtime, micro stops, and machine faults.

Perform hands-on mechanical, electrical, and automation troubleshooting.

Document downtime and maintenance activities in systems.
Qualifications
-
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on maintenance experience.

Background with automation lines, robotics, PLCs, and vision systems preferred.

Comfortable with physical work (standing, squatting, moving equipment).

Industry background flexible: medical device, food processing, dairy, wineries, or other automation-driven facilities.

Must be comfortable working night shifts.
