Position Overview: Mechanical Technician

As a Mechanical Technician at a CO?-to-acetic acid fermentation plant, you will support the critical mechanical systems that drive our operations. This hands-on role will contribute to both commissioning and day-to-day maintenance of rotating and static equipment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment (pumps, compressors, agitators, piping systems, valves, heat exchangers, etc.)


  • Support mechanical commissioning activities and punch list resolution


  • Collaborate with engineers and contractors to ensure safe and reliable operations


  • Develop and improve mechanical maintenance procedures


  • Coordinate with vendors for preventative maintenance and emergency repairs


  • Maintain accurate documentation and mechanical integrity records


  • Contribute to troubleshooting and root cause analysis


About You:

  • Hands-on mechanical experience in chemical, process, or industrial environments


  • Skilled in equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting


  • Able to read P&IDs, isometric drawings, mechanical schematics, and equipment manuals


  • Basic CAD knowledge is a plus


  • Strong safety mindset and attention to detail


  • Proactive and solution-oriented work ethic
