Maintenance Engineering Technician – Night Shift
Location: Lodi, CA
Duration: Contract (with potential extension or conversion)
Pay Rate: $30–$34/hr base pay (depending on experience) + 11% night shift differential + weekly overtime
Position Overview
Kelly Engineering is hiring Maintenance Engineering Technicians to support our client, a global leader in diagnostics, at their Lodi, CA facility. These roles support high-volume, automated manufacturing operations. This is a great opportunity for mechanically minded technicians with automation experience who want stable work, guaranteed overtime, and competitive pay close to home in the Central Valley.
Shift & Schedule

Night Shift (D Shift): 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Schedule: Wednesday – Friday, alternating Saturdays
-
12-hour shifts = built-in weekly overtime at time and a half
Key Responsibilities
-
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot automated filling and packaging equipment
-
Support TPM activities (CIL, centerlines, PMs, changeovers)

Partner with Engineers and Operators to reduce downtime, micro stops, and machine faults

Perform hands-on mechanical, electrical, and automation troubleshooting

Document downtime and maintenance activities in systems
Qualifications
-
High School diploma or GED required; AA/Technical degree preferred
-
2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience (or 1+ year with technical degree)

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability

Background with automation lines, robotics, PLCs, and vision systems preferred

Comfortable with physical work (standing, squatting, moving equipment)

Industry background flexible: medical device, food processing, dairy, wineries, or other automation-driven facilities

Must be comfortable working 12-hour shifts
