Robot Programmer – Kawasaki (Ford GVOSS Standards)
Location: Auburn Hills, MI (with travel to Ford locations as required)
Contract: Immediate 8-12 month contract
Compensation: Competitive pay + full benefits package
Join our dynamic team as a Robot Programmer focused on Kawasaki robotics and Ford GVOSS standards. This immediate contract role offers you the opportunity to make a major impact on advanced manufacturing operations, with competitive compensation and a complete benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Program Kawasaki robots to Ford GVOSS standards, covering both software and hardware setup
- Commission robots from the ground up, including implementing and validating all safety features
- Develop, test, and debug advanced robot programs (beyond simple point-to-point movements)
- Build and integrate robust safety zones and protocols
- Collaborate closely with controls engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure full system functionality
Requirements:
- Extensive hands-on experience programming Kawasaki robots, preferably within Ford GVOSS environments
- Proven expertise in robot commissioning, including safety setup and complete program validation
- Certification in Kawasaki CUBIC S safety setup highly desired
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex automation systems
- Ability to deliver solutions under strict project timelines
- Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills with engineering and management partners
