Kelly Services is seeking a Senior Accounting clerk for a busy Aerospace company located in Orlando, FL 32822

Job Title: Senior Accountant
Pay- $28-$31/hour
Schedule- Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Job Overview

The Senior Accounting clerk is a key contributor to this company’s success, supporting critical accounting operations and financial reporting. Reporting to the Americas Accounting Manager, this role helps ensure accurate cash management, compliance with GAAP standards, and the achievement of company goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily accounting tasks focusing on cash management and reconciliation operations

  • Track and communicate weekly cash needs for payroll and expenses (excluding Accounts Payable) to Global Accounting

  • Set up weekly electronic vendor payments in banking software as directed by Global Accounting

  • Record expense reports and credit card transactions

  • Compile online monthly benefit bills and post them accurately and timely to the general ledger

  • Post journal entries to the general ledger system, including payroll uploads

  • Reconcile bank accounts weekly and select balance sheet accounts monthly

  • Prepare accurate and timely account analyses and reports

  • Forecast expenditures and assist with income statement analyses

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data

  • Recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures

  • Assist with audit preparation and internal controls compliance

  • Report to and collaborate with the Accounting Manager on key financial deliverables

  • Maintain documentation and ensure alignment with GAAP standards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)

  • 3+ years of accounting experience in a similar role

  • Solid understanding of GAAP

  • Strong Excel and analytical skills

  • Experience with intercompany transactions is a strong plus

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

  • Experience with Zexpense is a plus

  • Experience with Quantum ERP is a plus
