Job details
Job Title: Wastewater Treatment (WWT) / Operations Technician
Location: Winder, GA
Pay Rate: $22–$25/hour (based on experience)
Contract Length: Temporary (3–4 months) with potential to extend
Summary:
The WWT/Operations Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining the biological wastewater treatment system. This role ensures regulatory compliance and supports general plant operations, including loading and unloading of materials.
Schedule:

Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
-
Rotating Weekends: Approx. 4 hours on Saturday and Sunday (every other weekend)

Overtime: Roughly 8 hours every 2 weeks
Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems (pumps, tanks, clarifiers, basins, etc.).

Collect and analyze wastewater samples to maintain compliance.

Adjust chemical dosing and treatment processes as needed.

Record operational data and support lab testing.

Load/unload tankers, railcars, and trailers following safety procedures.

Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all HS&E protocols.

Identify and report equipment malfunctions or potential permit issues.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required (technical school or college preferred).

Class III Wastewater Operator Certification required.

Familiar with DOT and RCRA regulations.

Able to use SAP and Microsoft Office; willing to learn site systems.

Forklift and tractor operation experience preferred.

Strong communication and organizational skills.
-
Physically able to lift 55 lbs., climb ladders/stairs, and work in hot/humid conditions.
