What’s a typical day as an Advanced Composites Technician I? You’ll be:

  • Manufacturing composite aircraft parts through lay-up, cutting, bagging, autoclave, trimming, and/or repair


  • Reading work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequences of operations


  • Ensuring defect-free assemblies and preparing parts for inspection


  • Maintaining and using logs and records such as MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, and DR/DI


  • Keeping a clean and organized work area, supporting FOD and 5S programs, and following all safety regulations


  • Supporting Lean initiatives and contributing to continuous improvement


  • Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

  • A High School Diploma or GED


  • Basic computer skills


  • At least 1 year of related composite experience


  • Ability to work with composite resins and materials


  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use a 6″ scale


  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and reliability


  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment


  • Flexibility to work any shift


  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the job

  • Shift: 1st shift


  • Must be 18+ years old and pass standard screenings
