Kelly Services – University Circle Area
Pay Rate: $18.50/hour
Kelly Services is seeking a highly organized Department Assistant for a temporary opportunity in the University Circle area. Under the general direction of the Assistant Director and Department Assistant for the Student Employment, this role will provide broad administrative support for all student employment activities.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct initial intake and verification of federal and state payroll forms, including I-9 compliance.
- Serve as a main point of contact for students, staff, and faculty, ensuring smooth communication and timely resolution of queries.
- Scan documents into the electronic filing system (OnBase).
- Review employment records to confirm current and compliant status with federal regulations.
- Enter data into the HCM (Human Capital Management) Payroll System.
- Respond to background check screening agencies as needed.
Contacts:
Daily interaction with students, department designees, Financial Aid, Payroll, and other university staff.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of related office experience.
- High School diploma required; some college preferred.
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and listening communication skills for effective information sharing and query resolution.
- Detail-oriented and vigilant about protecting sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
