Discipline Description
Tracks and manages inter/intra-plant work in process (WIP), promise dating, expedite orders for New Products to ensure on-time delivery and flow. May oversee command center and drive part shortage resolution. Monitors tracking and shipping. Performs escalated expediting when required to ensure on time delivery of material shortages with internal suppliers to ensure successful customer delivery.
Purpose
This position is for an entry-level Materials Planning, who is responsible for the NPI supply and demand planning process, Works with internal team to make sure develop financial forecasts.
Responsibility Statements
Works with manufacturing team and develops monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters.
Supporting planning capacity and fulfillment demand with plant manufacturing operations.
Identifies and develops new technologies to improve materials planning and SIOP capability, sustainability, and reliability.
Responsible for tracking appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement.
Responsible for the development of processes and plans to improve supply capabilities.
Create and Provide timeline to customers to have visibility on shortages
Coordinate with NPI team/TP dates in base of shorts (Long Leadtime pieces)
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineer, Materials Management or Logistic
- 1- 2 years’ experience of relevant is required
- Effective (English/Spanish) written and Verbal communication
- Microsoft Office
- Must be well organized
- Proficient in Communication Skills
