What’s a typical day as an Avionics/Electrical Technician II? You’ll be:
-
Performing installation and functional testing of aircraft electrical and avionics systems
-
Troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to ensure timely, quality repairs
-
Repairing or replacing defective components and wiring using approved practices (splicing, soldering, pinning)
-
Conducting operational and functional tests with specialized equipment to evaluate system performance
-
Documenting all work performed accurately and in compliance with inspection requirements
-
Complying with company programs for safety, FOD, tool control, and 5-S workplace organization
-
Supporting engineering changes, modifications, and certification testing when required
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

A High School Diploma or GED (required)
-
4 years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field OR 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics plus 2 years of related experience
-
Preferred certifications: A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant license), FCC license, or NCATT certification
-
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams
-
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
-
Ability to work in physically demanding environments (climb stairs/ladders, work in confined areas, lift up to 50 lbs)
-
Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and shifting priorities
-
Bonus: Experience troubleshooting other aircraft systems such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, or environmental controls
