Job details

Kelly Services is seeking a skilled PCBA Rework Operator. This role requires hands-on electronic assembly and repair expertise, focused on printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). The successful candidate will ensure all rework meets strict quality standards and compliance requirements.

Pay- $20/hour
Schedule– 7am-3:30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manual rework, repairs, and modifications on PCBAs following assembly procedures and visual aids.

  • Verify integrity of materials; identify and replace damaged or faulty components (resistors, capacitors, connectors, sockets, etc.).

  • Solder and de-solder electronic components; repair soldering mistakes in specific PCB locations.

  • Handle mechanical assembly, wire additions, and modifications per procedure, ECOs, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.

  • Perform advanced repair techniques (e.g., solder wick, epoxy, repair of etches/pads/vias, BGA removal/replacement).

  • Pre-form component leads according to IPC standards.

  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and maintains ESD integrity.

  • Work from schematics, blueprints, and instructions (written or verbal).

  • Maintain a clean work area and may assist in training other employees.

  • Other tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • IPC 7711/7721, IPC-A-610, and J-STD-001 certifications required.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in electronics assembly and PCBA rework/inspection.

  • Proficiency in advanced soldering and de-soldering techniques.

  • Strong understanding of electronic component value identification and nomenclature.

  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO 13485 standards.

  • ESD training and experience in ESD-protected environments.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, test procedures, and instructions.

  • Experience working in high-volume manufacturing settings.

  • Willing and able to work flexible hours as business needs arise.

  • US Person as defined in 22 CFR Part 120.15 (includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, individuals with asylum, and temporary residents granted amnesty; necessary due to ITAR-controlled work).
