Job Title: Production Packer – Thermoforming Equipment
Location: Canandaigua, NY
Job Type: Full-Time Temp-to-hire
Shift: A Shift – 1130PM – 8AM
Compensation: $19.02
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Production Packer to support our operations team. This role plays a critical part in the safe and efficient operation of thermoforming packaging equipment. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced production warehouse environment, feeding material into machines, inspecting products for defects, and packing finished goods in the correct configuration.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safely operate thermoforming packaging machinery on an as-needed basis.
- Perform routine packing and inspection of finished goods.
- Identify and report product quality deficiencies to the team lead.
- Perform basic troubleshooting, adjustments, and minor maintenance of packaging equipment.
- Assist coworkers and support team workflow as directed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Ensure adequate packaging supplies (boxes, tape, etc.) are available at the workstation.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Prepare packaged goods for shipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and twisting
- Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Self-starter with the ability to resolve issues and adapt to change
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Willingness to stay current with new technologies and processes
- Prior experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments is a plus
