Now Hiring: CNC Bending Machine Operator
Location: Farmington, CT
Shifts Available:
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay Range: $24 – $29 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
Job Type: Contact, with permanent hire opportunity

Position Summary
We are looking for experienced CNC Bending Machine Operators to join our modern Smart Factory in Farmington, CT. This long-term temporary position offers the opportunity to work in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment focused on precision sheet metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will bring strong CNC setup skills along with a sharp eye for quality control and inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC bending machines for precise sheet metal forming
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure part accuracy
- Conduct in-process and final part inspections using calipers, protractors, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools
- Perform first-piece inspection and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with specifications
- Maintain strict quality control by verifying part dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes before approving for next process
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as needed to move materials safely
- Perform daily machine checks, basic maintenance, and participate in 5S/TPM activities
- Attend daily shop floor meetings and actively support continuous improvement initiatives
- Safely lift materials up to 70 lbs as required
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience operating CNC bending equipment, preferably in a sheet metal or manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to set up CNC machinery and verify accurate machine operation
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting part specifications
- Hands-on experience with quality inspection techniques and use of measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and protractors
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to producing high-quality, consistent parts
- Team player with a proactive mindset and strong communication skills
