Position Overview
Kelly Services has partnered with a leading financial consulting firm to find a Quantitative Analyst to support the precise execution of R&D tax credit projects. In this pivotal role, you’ll apply your expertise in data analytics, structured calculations, and quality assurance to ensure every tax credit claim is accurate and audit-ready. Collaborating with research teams, clients, and tax professionals, you will deliver timely and reliable results on complex projects. Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough quantitative analysis of qualified research expenses (QREs), reconcile information from diverse data sources, and prepare detailed supporting schedules.

  • Convert technical and narrative research outputs into precise numerical substantiation and tax credit calculations.

  • Engage directly with CPAs and tax advisors to confirm methodologies, validate computations, and ensure each credit is defensible.

  • Create clear, professional schedules, tables, and exhibits that effectively communicate the quantitative basis for each tax credit claim.

  • Oversee the numerical aspects of each engagement from initiation to completion, proactively identifying and resolving any gaps in data or process.

  • Document all assumptions, methodologies, and reconciliations to support audit defensibility and compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years in tax credit analysis, financial analysis, or accounting

  • Proficiency in performing pivot tables within MS Excel

  • Possess a strong background in finance, accounting, economics, or quantitative research

  • Strong ability to recognize and resolve discrepancies or errors in data and calculations with accuracy and precision

  • Proven experience managing project timelines and driving assignments to successful completion under deadline constraints
