Job details

Kelly Engineering is partnering with a rapidly expanding industry leader in Kingsport, TN, to offer an exciting direct hire opportunity for a Chemical Process Engineer. This strategic role offers a competitive salary up to $120K based on experience, dynamic growth potential along with a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Provide process engineering assistance to troubleshoot major operational problems, and maximize asset utilization

  • Identify ways to increase product yields and reduce variable costs and develop the associated process scope to achieve the expected results

  • Design and implement capital projects: design process system, develop process flow diagram, develop piping and instrumentation diagram, write equipment and control specifications, perform material and energy balances

  • Perform process commissioning and support start up activities during capital project execution

  • Ensure the transfer of processes and new products from R&D to Production

  • Recommend, design, conduct and evaluate process testing for the purpose of quantifying unit performance for cost reduction

  • Provide technical training for employees as identified

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Chemical Process Engineering experience

  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience with pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns preferred

  • BS Degree in an Engineering discipline
