Job Title: Engineering RF Test Technician
Location: Oxnard, CA
Duration: 6 months with possible extensions.
Pay Rate: $40-$42/hr.
Shift: 1st Shift. 8am start time. 9-80 schedule

ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED

Position Overview:

  • The Engineering RF Test Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the engineering team by providing technical assistance and conducting various tests, measurements, and evaluations.

  • They work closely with engineers and production personnel, assisting in the development, implementation of engineering projects production products.

  • The Engineering Technician’s responsibilities encompass a broad range of technical tasks, ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of engineering functions.
     

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:

  • Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, and improve engineering projects, systems, and processes.

  • Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.

  • Conduct research and gather relevant technical information to support engineering initiatives.

  • Provide technical support to resolve engineering issues and troubleshoot problems.

Testing and Evaluation:

  • Perform various tests, measurements, and evaluations on prototypes, components, and systems.

  • Collect and analyze data to assess performance, quality, and compliance with standards and specifications.

  • Assist in the identification and implementation of corrective actions based on test results and evaluations.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of engineering activities, test results, and project progress.

  • Prepare technical reports, summaries, and documentation Equipment and System

Equipment:

  • Set up and operate engineering equipment, tools, and instruments such as Network Analyzers, Power Meters, Bench power supplies, signal/waveform generators, high-speed oscilloscopes, Noise Figure analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and technicians.

  • Communicate technical information, recommendations, and updates clearly and concisely.

Requirements:

• At least 7 years of relevant previous experience.
• Proficiency with the use of common RF test equipment.
• Familiar with schematic diagrams and test documentation.
• Knowledge of electronics principles and common RF tests.
• Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Associate degree or relevant certification in engineering technology preferred.
• Secret Clearance Required.
