Pay Rate: $27.00/hr
Contract: 6 Months (with potential for extension)
Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | 10 hours/day | 7 days a week (travel required)
Location: Thomasville, GA

Join the Kelly® Professional & Industrial team as a Manufacturing Operator I (Field Operator) with a leading construction and fabrication company in Thomasville, GA. This role is perfect for welders and field operators who enjoy working outdoors, interpreting blueprints, and delivering high-quality construction results.

What’s a typical day as a Manufacturing Operator I? You will:
-
Perform FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW welding on A36 and 304LSS materials.
-
Read and interpret engineered drawings, weld symbols, and tolerances.
-
Troubleshoot and repair equipment or machinery as needed.
-
Operate grinders, chipping hammers, and standard hand/power tools.
-
Execute field construction activities, including hydro testing welds.
-
Follow all safety policies, quality standards, and 5S practices.

Collaborate with supervisors and peers to deliver projects on time and to spec.

Submit weekly per diem expenses while traveling.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

High School Diploma or GED (required)
-
2+ years welding or field construction experience (FCAW, GMAW, SMAW)
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
-
Experience with hand and power tools
-
Ability to obtain AWS certifications (training provided)
-
Willingness to travel 100% of the time (field-based role)

Valid driver’s license; ability to drive company vehicle

Ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification and TWIC card
