Job details

At Kelly we are looking for a Narrow Aisle Forklift Operator responsible for material handling, inventory and non-inventory materials to provide support and meet established operating schedules of internal customers.

Location: Mississauga

Pay Rate: $22.50/hr + 4% of vacation pay

Length of assignment: 1 year with possibility of extension

Schedule: Day shift 7am to 3:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver materials and retrieve material returns from Packaging/Processing air locks.

  • Assist in the preparation and assembly of outbound shipments.

  • Repalletize materials for sampling and warehouse storage.

  • Move materials from the receiving area to the appropriate storage areas of the warehouse.

  • Prepare and assemble waste and CMRs for destruction.

  • Sort and deliver non-inventory courier shipments and supplies to other departments within Patheon.

  • Offload inbound receipts and load outbound shipments.

  • Participate in PPI to continually improve processes.

  • Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards.

  • Perform alternating or rotating shift work.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field.

  • Required: Narrow aisle forklift experience.

  • Required: Valid forklift operation certificate.

  • This is a physical role, will be working with pallets.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task, meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Work efficiently with limited supervision.

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and maneuver up to 80lbs.

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Familiar with WHMIS and safety regulations.

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.

  • Proficiency with the English language.
