Maintenance Engineering Technician – Day Shift

Location: Lodi, CA
Duration: Contract (with potential extension or conversion)
Pay Rate: $30–$34/hr base pay (depending on experience) + weekly overtime


Position Overview

Kelly Engineering is hiring Maintenance Engineering Technicians to support our client, a global leader in diagnostics, at their Lodi, CA facility. These roles support high-volume, automated manufacturing operations. This is a great opportunity for mechanically minded technicians with automation experience who want stable work, guaranteed overtime, and competitive pay close to home in the Central Valley.


Shift & Schedule

  • Day Shift (C Shift): 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM


  • Schedule: Wednesday – Friday, alternating Saturdays


  • 12-hour shifts = built-in weekly overtime at time and a half


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot automated filling and packaging equipment


  • Support TPM activities (CIL, centerlines, PMs, changeovers)


  • Partner with Engineers and Operators to reduce downtime, micro stops, and machine faults


  • Perform hands-on mechanical, electrical, and automation troubleshooting


  • Document downtime and maintenance activities in systems


Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required; AA/Technical degree preferred


  • 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience (or 1+ year with technical degree)


  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability


  • Background with automation lines, robotics, PLCs, and vision systems preferred


  • Comfortable with physical work (standing, squatting, moving equipment)


  • Industry background flexible: medical device, food processing, dairy, wineries, or other automation-driven facilities


  • Must be comfortable working 12-hour shifts
