Kelly Engineering is seeking an Automation Engineer to support our client’s production team through robot programming, tooling and fixture design, and automation documentation.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write, modify, and document robot programs
 
- Design and build robot cell fixturing and end-of-arm tooling (EOAT)
 
- Simulate and optimize robot systems to meet cycle time goals
 
- Develop and maintain technical and procedural documentation
 
- Program and integrate PLCs, robots, motion, and vision systems
 
- Configure robot zones, I/O, and PLC communication
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
 
- Independent and collaborative work style with strong motivation and initiative
 
- Creative problem-solver with strong people skills
 
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics
 
- Experience with ABB robots, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley controls, HMIs, and vision systems
 
- Proficient in PLC troubleshooting and robotic path teaching
 
- RobotStudio and SolidWorks proficiency strongly preferred
