l Observes all company safety policies and procedures as well as maintain good housekeeping, GMP and Global Food Safety practices Lockout/Tagout procedures.
l Identification of complex problems with mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic issues on all associated equipment (conveyors, compressors, chillers, programmable controllers, robots); review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
l Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them- checking blueprints- repair manuals- or parts catalogs- as necessary
l Dismantle and reassemble machines to fit or replace necessary parts
l Able to understand and complete Preventative Maintenance based on Preventative Maintenance schedules
l Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed
l Responsive to maintenance requests in a timely manner and complete maintenance reports as required
l Maintain plant equipment to ensure maximum efficiency
l Ability to work with vendors and/or contractors as required
l Ensure spare parts or services are ordered as required
l Implement operational improvements (spoilage, downtime, line speeds, etc.)
l Train others to operate equipment and produce products safely and efficiently
l Maintain organization of spare parts
l Maintain a clean and organized work area
l Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
l Complete special projects and duties as assigned
l Continuously monitor and physically inspect production equipment
l Rebuild/ fabrication of equipment
l Welding mild and stainless steel
l Complete work orders
l Maintain logs and records
l Investigates electrical and instrument equipment failures and develops action plans to eliminate repetitive failures
l Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
l Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
l Other duties as assigned within the scope of the role
 
 This job might be an outstanding fit if you have: 

l You are 18 years of age or older
l High School Degree or equivalent
l 2+ years in a manufacturing/production environment
l Experience with mechanical and/or electrical repair required
l You have knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, hydraulics and/or pneumatics
l You have ability to read and follow schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints
l You must be able to lift to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently
l Manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance are required
l You enjoy working as a part of a larger team to make an impact

l LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License preferred
