Kelly Government Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facility Security Officer (FSO) to manage and oversee all aspects of our security program in compliance with government regulations. The FSO will be responsible for protecting classified and sensitive information, ensuring compliance, and serving as the primary point of contact for all security matters. This role requires a professional with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as experience handling government contracts and classified documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the facility’s security program in accordance with DoD and federal government requirements.
- Oversee and safeguard the handling, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified and sensitive information.
- Ensure compliance with the NISPOM, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements, and other applicable regulations.
- Conduct security education, training, and awareness programs for all cleared employees.
- Manage and maintain personnel security clearances, visit requests, and classified contract documentation in DISS and other government systems.
- Perform self-inspections and prepare for government security audits and inspections.
- Investigate and report security violations, implementing corrective actions as required.
- Act as the liaison with government agencies, contractors, and internal leadership regarding security issues.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports related to security operations.
Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance required (Top Secret clearance preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in industrial security, preferably as an FSO or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of the NISPOM and other applicable federal regulations.
- Experience using DISS, NISS, and e-QIP systems.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities training certification.
- Top Secret clearance eligibility.
- Prior experience working with government contracts and subcontractors.
